Post 7: Changes to my study program
Before studying a degree and before choosing the university where you want to study, it is important to review the study plan offered by each institution, because not all universities teach a degree in the same way (personally I am not in favor) and although I understand that each university has its special vision / mission, it seems to me that the study plans (subjects to study) should be more similar so that when entering the world of work there is an "equality" of conditions.
That said, some of the changes I would make to the current design degree curriculum at my university is, firstly, to eliminate subjects like math and physics in the first year that I personally consider time-consuming and not very useful in the first year of study. In addition, it would incorporate more specific professional subjects from the first year so that you do not have to wait until the third year to start looking for areas of interest (it is a bit demotivating). Second, I would like there to be more places in the university where you can access better tools and technologies that, although having access to them is not the most important thing, help in the learning process and personal motivation. And finally, in terms of teaching, I would not know what to say exactly, since I have only had virtual classes in these two years of study due to the pandemic, but if I would like the classes to be more dynamic and to be able to apply what I learned before an evaluation and not at the same time, because I feel that learning is not enjoyed with the same freedom.
Hello Dani, When I saw your profile I remembered when I did not know what to choose as a career for my future.Design caught my attention but the pressure of my whole family was on me. I hope one day to be able to talk to you in college and in one of those career changes, who knows, my grandmother would say ...
ResponderEliminarI find the idea of incorporating more specific subjects in the first semesters of the career is very nice, there are many people who reach third year and end up changing
